Summary: Amazon are reopening of the European Fulfilment Network (EFN) between UK and EU. This service along with Pan-European FBA, was previously stopped by Amazon in Q4 2021 in response to Brexit. Full news announcement not yet made by Amazon – more info to follow.

Announcement: 14th Sept 21

Effective Date: October 21

Feature: UK -> EU EFN

Type: Amazon EFN

Regions: UK, EU

Accounts: UK FBA Sellers

Customer Benefit: Medium

Seller Benefit: High

Impact For Effected Sellers: High

Most Effected Sellers: UK only FBA sellers who may have switched off their EU listings or had to use a 3rd party to fulfil them following the closure of the UK to EU service in Q4 2020 due to Amazon’s response to Brexit.

Propel Your Product’s view: Amazon’s Pan-European FBA help page now has a small updated section announcing this major update and held a web conference at 11am today. This news will be especially critical for many UK based Sellers who previously relied on Amazons FBA network to ship and fulfil their goods to European customers. While the EFN solution has higher postage fees and longer delivery times than the Pan-EU FBA solution (where stock is stored locally in EU) the opportunity to offer UK stock to Amazon’s EU customers will be a big boost to those who had switched off their EU listings altogether.
